The Bell Bookshop is in the attractive market town of Henley-on-Thames in South Oxfordshire, and is located close to the river and car parks. The shop itself is believed to date back to the 18th century, and has served in the past as the Co-operative Society grocers, and the showroom for Squire cars (manufactured in Remenham). For the last 40 years, there has been a bookshop here, and we are proud to continue the tradition of independent bookselling in the community.

Our staff are all genuine book lovers and read widely and voraciously! They have been bookselling for over 40 years between them, (though they don’t look it!) and are always happy to share their latest favourite books, recommend a book for your book club, or help you find the perfect gift.

We have a comprehensive holding of over 20,000 books in stock at our Henley-on-Thames bookshop, and we can usually order in-print books within 24 hours at no extra charge. Our stock covers a broad range of books, but particular strengths include:
