About Little Nellies

Little Nellies is named after a little lady who had a massive heart.

Kay Harman, the owner of Little Nellie's in Henley-on-Thames, was born in Medmenham but moved away to Kent later in life. Kay's grandmother, Nellie Harman, lived on a farm in Turville with her husband Bert. When Kay went to visit her grandmother, Nellie, she always returned with a little bag of sweets for the bus journey home.

Later, Kay came back to live on her grandparents' farm and it was then that she decided to open a traditional sweet shop in Henley-on-Thames.
