Following sustaining a nasty shoulder injury from a motorbike accident I found myself under the care of Sarah and the team at Active vii. I was immediately made to feel comfortable and at home at what was a very difficult time for me initially. The friendly yet highly professional treatment I have received over the last 2 years has allowed me to regain a larger proportion of movement than was thought possible from the prognosis. Never afraid to go the extra mile I have had all the support I needed to get medical referrals and legal reports in an extremely expedient manner. I would highly recommend any of the physios from whom I have received treatment at Active vii. Recommended!!

Sports People: Just to let you know - Active VIII physiotherapists are highly skilled and caring professionals. Gerry has worked for many years with Olympic and England teams and individual sportsmen and women, including hockey, rugby and rowing. Sarah - her business partner has also helped with England hockey and Henley Hawks rugby. Others, including Ed, have worked with Portsmouth Rugby team, Nerys, with GB motorcross and Sarah Mc with GB lacrosse. All have high level qualifications in sports physiotherapy. You could'nt be in better hands!

Brilliant, fantastic and very professional physios. I have been back and fore to ACTIVE VII for a number of years with various problems and have always had fantastic treatment. Most recently I injured my shoulder. Sarah (who specialises in shoulders) was very kind to me as I was in a lot of pain. She immediately diagnosed my problem and injected my shoulder then and there. This completely relieved my pain. Sarah provided me with advice and when she saw me again 2 weeks later she did physiotherapy treatment to sort out the tendons. So after only 2 sessions I can get back to doing what I love - gardening and playing tennis. Thanks you so much Sarah.

I had a dreadful stress fracture injury to my ankle from running. It had been misdiagnosed on X-Ray. After several months of going back and fore to my doctor and putting up with severe pain I came to Active 8. Gerry quickly diagnosed my problem and referred me for an MRI scan, which confirmed her diagnosis. I have since had fantastic physiotherapy treatment and a biomechanical assessment with prescription orthotics. This has completely sorted out my problems. I can't thank Gerry (and her wonderful team of physios) for such brilliant service - you guys "rock".

"I approached ACTIVE VIII with regard to long standing back pain, caused previously by rowing and aggravated by cycling. In order to determine the origins of my back pain, ACTIVE VIII undertook a thorough assessment of my spine and a full biomechanical analysis of my running and cycling techniques. They used sophisticated motion analysis and pressure measuring systems, testing me from all angles whilst running and cycling. This was incorporated with physiotherapy manipulation to my spine, core stability and stretching exercises and orthotic prescription for my running and bike shoes. They concluded that my back pain was caused by an imbalance in my pelvis coupled with slightly different leg lengths. This meant that I was cycling unevenly and placing great strain on one side of my back. By carrying out some adjustments to my spine and cycling position, as well as fitting me with orthotics, they were able to straighten my position and greatly relieve the back pain. This has enabled me to train as hard as I need to, for my sport, with very little discomfort"
