learn't to drive from November 2012 to February 2013. excellent teacher and quality lessons. I drove home on my first lesson and was pushed to do my best at all times. Richard gets job satisfaction from his pupils when they pass. i couldn't recommend a better instructor! very patient but firm. Gets the job done!
i had been using a provisional liscene for ages anddriving every day . i thought i would do my test and thought i was a safe driver. i took a lesson with richard and realised iwas not.i had a few more lesson and now i am pleased to say a the proud owner of a full liscence and i know i am a safe competent driver,thanks to richard...would highly reccomed richard..thankyou richard
I started my lesson with Richard Classic Driving School last august when I turned 17. I was very nervous on the road for my first couple of lesson but Richard made me at ease and helped me get the confidence that I needed to be able to drive. Richard has a very high standard of knowledge with the road and saftey to keep you safe while you are driving in the future. If you feel unsure about anything Richard helps you get the best undertstanding on anything you may be stuggling on with driving. Richard helped me get my freedom and I've never looked back, thanks to Richard Classic Driving School I've now passed my driving test and am also a very safe driver,thanks to Richard

At 29 and having not had a driving lesson in over 10 years, I was convinced that driving just wasn't for me. Less than 4 months after contacting Classic I'd passed my test and haven't looked back!

Richard taught me not only how to pass my test, but how to drive well and safely. This meant that I had the confidence to pass my test and also to drive my family/ friends around after I had passed. Not only is Richard very patient, knowledgeable and easy to get on with, it is the emphasis on how to drive well that sets him apart from other driving schools. Richard is quite simply the best driving instructor around. I had previously had 1 other driving instructor before Richard who was useless, impatient and always shouting and putting me down, because of him I stopped having driving lessons as I was getting know where fast (I had only done 2 of the maneuvers & was not good at them either!)and I also had no confidence in my driving ability. After 10 years I decided to try again and booked in with Richard for a fresh start, within 6 months I had passed my driving test 1st time, which 6 months previous I would never had thought possible. Heâs really friendly and I always felt so relaxed during my lessons and found them really enjoyable. But most importantly he also really listens to you and makes sure that your confident with your driving. I would highly recommend him to anyone thinking of having lessons.
My brother and I had driving lessons with Classic, and both passed at our first attempt in a relatively short period of time, due to the great teaching, professionalism and patience of Richard. Richard is a fantastic driving instructor, who I have in the past and will continue to recommend to my friends and family. He is very friendly, patient, understanding and always ensures that no question is left unanswered. Richard is professional in every aspect of the service he provides, but is also very down to earth and easy to talk to, and have a laugh with. From the very first lesson through to the last he provides excellent support and helped me to develop my self confidence. Richard made learning to dive enjoyable.
I passed my driving test with Richard in September 2008. Before I began my lessons with him, I was with a different driving instructor who shattered my confidence. I was extremely nervous when I started my lessons with Classic; but there was no need! Richard has the patience of a saint, always makes you feel better (even when you make mistakes) and only wants the best for you! I have recommended him to many of my friends, and will continue to do so!! If you want to learn to drive, then do it with Classic!!
A friend highly recommended Richard to me when she passed on the first try, and I'm glad she did. Richard will push you to do your best, but also teaches in a friendly and professional manner. I learn something new each lessons and definitely feel like I'm making progress.
I have been having lessons with Richard since Feburary, I was nervous about having lessons as I had them in the past with a different instructor who I found to be very poor and stopped having lessons. Richard has given me the confidence I need to able to continue with lessons again. I am progressing with my lessons thanks to patience and good but firm instruction with Richard. Richard taught me to drive late 2009. I found him easy to communicate with and very professional. Sometimes i was asked to do longer hours at work and he still managed to fit me in around my changing work schedule. Richard is a very good driving instructor and i would highly recommend him to anyone.

Richard was brilliant! Before having lessons with him I had experienced two other driving instructors, one was useless and one was inappropriate. Having lost most of my faith in them, I came across Richard and thankfully he was just what I needed. An excellent teacher, a genuinely nice person and a proffessional. His pricing is reasonable, his car was easy to learn in and his teaching skills speak for themselves when I say I passed first time after 4 months. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him!
