Cafe Heroes is a social enterprise, set up by the Gamelea Countryside Trust and Futures Homescape. All proceeds go to funding shared housing for returning ex-servicemen and women and providing vital services for them to re-integrate and adjust back into society
For those in need, the cafe holds a weekly drop-in session and various support groups to help with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and many other difficulties. As well as running PTSD awareness courses to train people to support others, the cafe also acts as a signposting point to more formal help and support, including occupational therapies - teaching life and vocational skills such as dry stone walling, woodwork, animal care etc. These therapies lead to recognised qualifications, which are vital in helping our heroic men and women get back into work and become self-supporting.
By making Cafe Heroes your choice for great coffee and tea, you are also helping to support this very worthy cause so everyone benefits!
