West Anglia, Suffolk and Haverhill Sailability provides sailing facilities for children and adults with any form of disability, in association with St. Edmundsbury Sailing and Canoeing Association, SESCA.

SESCA. was approached with a view to setting up the Sailability group, this was agreed.It was only then that we realised the complexity of the operation. We needed suitable boats, we needed specialised facilities to transfer wheelchair bound people into the boats in other words we needed to raise funds, enter HAVO - things started to move at last. The fund raising took off and we had help with the paper work, not forgetting the CRB checks. We now have three boats on the water with the promise of more to come and this year we intend to increase the number of days we are sailing.

HAVO services and advice on obtaining CRB checks for our volunteer parents has been a useful and vital service to us.
They explain in detail without the jargon exactly what is required and why. As a very small local business having a service nearby where parents and volunteer staff can call in when required and have a CRB check processed at no charge has been invaluable to us. We would certainly recommend their services to others and do and it is a service we will continue to use when we require both new and updated CRB checks.

With the new regulations and CRB changes due their advice and support will be vital in ensuring we operate within the required guidelines. Samantha Tucker the proprietor used this service on a fee paying basis to process one of her CRB checks simply because it was local and quick and easy to do.
