If you have a few moments spare, I would really appreciate it if you could go to the Number 10 website and sign this petition...

"The Daily Sport newspaper has launched a campaign, Justice for the Victims of Dust, along with Unions and specialist law firms, to urge the government to reverse the decision by the Law Lords to bar people who have contracted pleueral plaques from seeking compensation. This overrules a law that had been in place for more than 20 years. We also have the support of a number of MPs from the different parties."
Back in 2007 the Law Lords ruled that the "worried well" should not be compensated, despite the fact that these pleural plaques can develop into fatal diseases such as mesothelioma - a cancer for which there is no cure.
My husband suffers from pleural plaques due to asbestos exposure over 30 years ago and this is a very real illness. I am disgusted that the Law Lords could think otherwise. Thousands of people in this country are affected by this ruling, so please, if you can spare just a few moments, click on the link above and see if we can get this decision reversed.
Thank you
