Harlyn is a community school, established in 1957, providing Nursery and Primary Education for children up to the age of 11. The Nursery has a separate building on the same site and is under the same Headteacher and Governing Body.\r\rWe have 6 acres of attractive grounds, landscaped with trees and shrubs, a large playground with exciting play equipment, three spacious sports fields, and a pond and conservation area. You can see pictures of the school grounds above.\r\rAt Harlyn we work towards ‘Excellence and Enjoyment .We strive to develop the individual talents of our children, and encourage their motivation towards good standards of academic work and behaviour. We want all our children to be happy and successful at school .\rWe give careful attention to children with special educational needs and support pupils with English as an additional language. Able and talented pupils are recognized and encouraged to extend their ability and develop further.
