Are you looking for better pay, a career change or having to move to a new location?

Here are some tips on finding that new job in or around Harrogate.

  1. The government has several guides and routes into employment, including apprenticeships and internships in Harrogate. Have a look around their website for more info to help you find a new job.

  2. Look at job boards on the internet – Indeed, Total Jobs, Reed, CV-Library, Monster, Fish4 and several others, they are full of jobs in Harrogate.

  3. Use Social Media.  Tell your friends, ask your friends, but make sure no one from work is a ‘friend’ or they will know you are looking.  Try Twitter, Linked In or Facebook.  You will find Harrogate Facebook groups which have several job opportunities for full time work, part time work and more.

  4. Look in your local newspaper or go to the job centre.  Harrogate has a job centre as well as a great newspaper, the Harrogate Advertiser, which has a job section.

  5. Contact the companies you want to work for directly, maybe even offer to work voluntarily for a while so they can get to know you.

Make sure your CV is up-to-date, not too long, that any gaps are explained. Research the company before going for an interview.
