HARROGATE HAIRDRESSER COMES TO THE RESCUE

The owner of a Harrogate hair salon has come to the aid of a Harrogate lady,Sarah Tarpey of Hollins Crescent who slipped on ice and fell just after Christmas breaking her right wrist.

Her injury required hospital surgery and left Sarah unable to do simple everyday tasks such as washing her hair or brushing her teeth.

Enter Good Samaritan Tracy Woodcock of the award winning Westminster Salon in Westminster Arcade,Harrogate. Tracy heard about Sarah's plight and stepped in to help by offering her a free wash and blow dry two or three times a week until Sarah is better.

Tracy who herself suffered a break to her left arm in the past and had to undergo a similar operation to Sarah's understood how incapacitating it is. She said " There are times in our lives when it's nice for someone to help and people do feel better if they've got their hair washed. She's looking nice so she feels able to face the world"

Sarah commented " it's amazing to do this totally free. I just couldn't believe it because money's tight for everybody including businesses"

What a lovely thing to do for someone! If you have any other stories of a similar nature please let me know!

WELL DONE TRACY!
