With a large plasma screen, all major sporting events are shown at The Engineer Pub and Restaurants’ Sports Bar. In addition, there is a heated and sheltered smoking area, just outside the Bar.
Lounge Bar:
The Engineer Pub and Restaurant’s intimate Lounge Bar features sofa areas without any intrusive music, ideal for dates, business meetings and relaxed glasses of wine with friends.
Bar Area:
Lively on the weekends, yet laid back during the week, the Harpenden restaurant’s Bar serves excellent wines by the glass or bottle, lagers, ales, ciders and spirits.
Conservatory Restaurant:
With modern, contemporary decor and an intimate yet relaxed atmosphere, The Engineer Pub and Restaurant’s Conservatory Restaurant features freshly prepared cuisine, using local suppliers whenever possible. When dining at the Restaurant, dishes to expect on the sumptuous À la Carte menu include:
• Chicken and Chorizo Salad
• Mussels in White Wine and Cream
• Rack of Lamb with a Wholegrain Mustard Crust, Crushed New Potatoes, Mint Jus and Sugarsnap Peas
• Spring Vegetable Pancakes, Stir-fried with Ginger, Garlic and Herbs, topped with a Red Pepper Sauce, with Lyonnaise Potatoes
The Conservatory Restaurant is available for private parties of up to 34 for seated, À la Carte meals or 60 for a buffet meal.
Freshly prepared lunch and evening bar meals are also available and The Engineer Pub and Restaurant’s traditional Sunday roast dinner with a choice of two meats is incredibly popular. The Harpenden restaurant also hosts a Pub Quiz every Tuesday evening.
