In 2010, the Bush Festival attracted more than 2,000 people - this year we aim to capture the attention of so many more!
An exciting, exhilarating, community inspired occasion, the Bush Festival is an annual youth-led event organised by The Masbro Centre with Philippa Berridge that brings together people of all ages and backgrounds to have a day of fun, entertainment and exploration.
So much more than just a family fun day - the Bush Festival is about local people and visitors coming together to enjoy a day of music, activities, workshops, arts and crafts. It is also hoped that the Festival will change the minds of people who have preconceived ideas about the youth of today and allow them to overcome those prejudices.
Programme of Activities
A Multicultural celebration of music, food, arts and culture
In addition to live music playing throughout the day, you can enjoy:
Cultural Corner
Make flags and bracelets to represent your County as well as enjoy some Carnival art.
Circus Skills
Magic, juggling, stilt walking, clowning, acro-balance and more.
Capoeira
From Brazil, Capoeira combines elements of martial arts, music and dance. Come and learn the techniques that increase flexibility, strength and stamina.
African Drum Workshops
Work in groups and make some fabulous sounds!
Hula Hoop
A chance to learn hula hooping and how you can enjoy it for fun and for fitness.
Climbing Wall
Challenge your strength and ability by taking on The Urban Climbing wall.
Talent Show
Artists, musicians and performers from in and around Hammersmith and Fulham
As well as:
Face painting and a bouncy castle will add to the fun.
Games centre
Music - live PAs from artists, bands
