2nd September 2014

Poetry enthusiasts can hear guest speakers perform during a night of prose at Bar des Arts on Tuesday, September 16 from 7.30pm.

Harry Man, Pauline Sewards and Tom Vliestra will be taking to the stage to read their works.

Harry is an award-winning poet from South London. He was the winner of the 2014 Bridges of Struga Award and was shortlisted for Best Pamphlet 2014 in the Saboteur Awards. His poems offer a fascinating blend of history, personal loss and an alienating landscape, space fiction and surrealism.

Pauline is returning to the bar to read her poetic stories about life as a music lover and a child of the seventies.

Tom began performing during poetry nights while he was at the University of Surrey studying Psychology. Now he’s a fully-fledged psychotherapist who sometimes uses poetry to help his clients.

Entry to the poetry evening is free and people are welcome to sign up to perform on the night. Performers should arrive at 7pm.
