I brought my Smart car in to smart of Guildford to have some repairs carried out under warranty. In addition, I thought that I was in need of new tyres, so ordered them accordingly when I booked my car in. A courtesy car was also booked. When I arrived at the dealership, all the necessary documents were already prepared, the welcome was inviting and professional and the courtesy car was ready and waiting. I was there for no more than 10 minutes. - Excellent!! Brad Martin was my Service Team Leader and it was really great to have him call me and tell me that I did not need new tyres at all, all was fine. I was not only happy but also quite amazed because any other dealership or garage would have jumped at the chance to make a sale for over £300 worth of tyres. - Brad's honesty was a welcome breath of fresh air. When I collected my vehicle, I unfortunately made an error which blew a fuse again and Brad very quickly had this seen to. The level of service I received was outstanding. When I drove away from the dealership, I was feeling really happy and in a very good mood because not only had I experienced a company who showed they operate with integrity and honesty but I had received outstanding service too. The honesty and integrity are important values to me; especially when my work involves investigating those with less of the same. My thanks and great appreciation goes to Brad. I don’t mind driving for the hour or so it takes me to get to you because the experience is well worth it. I look forward to returning in March for my Service and 1st MOT. I would like to say that I am not the easiest customer to please, and in particular I value highly, good quality service and extra effort aimed at the customer. My recent experience with the Mercedes team at Tony Purslow Guildford was exceptional. The parts department sourced and secured the only rear window in the country. They sent someone in person to collect it to ensure its safe arrival. The service team fitted it at short notice. The final bill was one hundred pounds less than another Mercedes dealership had quoted for the same job but would not have been completed for a further week. All in all excellent service delivered with a smile that restored my faith in human nature following the brick that was thrown through the window by someone with rather different values last Sunday night. Dealing with Brad from your Tony Purslow dealership service department in Guildford has somewhat put a spring in my step as he has taken strides to ensuring that I always have peace of mind by constantly ensuring that I know what is happening with my vehicle whenever I have brought it in for service. He even sold me the service care pack, something I appreciate as vehicle servicing is usually expensive. He takes my calls and alleviates my worries even if it is a stupid question and has refreshingly always returned my calls. This is what I expected when I bought my Mercedes and Brad has always made sure I enjoy my experience even when I am having to unwillingly fork out lots of money (Nobody likes spending money). This is why I have referred my brother in law to him when there was an issue with his C63. I would be lost without his reliable assistance and thank him for helping me take pride in the Brand again and making sure that I get the best possible Mercedes experience. Tony Purslow are really good and what I would expect from a high quality brand like Mercedes. I am going to them because I used them once before and was very happy. I used a different (closer) Mercedes dealer and asked them to look into three things (very slight leaking roof, air con leak and possible oil leak from gear-box). The local Mercedes dealer cost me money, found nothing wrong and fixed nothing. They also charged me to refill the air con yet didn’t think to deal with why it was empty (or rather couldn’t find the leak and seemed to think that was therefore acceptable). I then got the air con fixed separately and went to the Guildford Mercedes dealer (Tony Purslow) for my annual service and MOT. At Tony Purslow Guildford, when I booked it in for a service and MOT, I didn’t even mention the possible gear-box oil leak (as was told by my local Mercedes dealer that there wasn’t one) yet Tony Purslow Guildford found it! (and told me about it) and then fixed it. They also fixed the slight leak in the roof by adjusting the fit of the relevant window. Guildford are really good and better than the previous Lexus dealer/car we had and so much better than the quality of service at my local Mercedes dealer . I will in future get my wife's CLS serviced at Tony Purslow Guildford because it is worth the journey for the better quality of service. Carl, CLK55 AMG, London
I cannot praise enough the service that I received from your colleague Gordon, in the Service Department at Guildford. To keep things brief, I had a major problem in that through no fault of my own, my car was no longer covered by MB warranty, and I was looking at a £1,500 repair bill. Gordon sorted the situation, kept in regular contact with me (whilst I was abroad on holiday), and all with a minimum of fuss. He was polite efficient and pleasant to deal with. Over the years, I have dealt with all of the luxury car manufacturers and I only wish that they had been as good as Mercedes-Benz of Guildford and Gordon in particular. I am dropping you a very short note to let you know how helpful your service team has been to me over the past couple of weeks. I recently purchased a used E-Class from another dealer which turned out to have a number of problems which were difficult to identify. Lizzie Hill was particularly helpful and was empathetic to my problems. She enthusiastically liaised between myself, the warranty company and the other dealership to get the problem resolved (and paid for!). Kevin (Kev) was also brilliant. He listened to and understood my concerns, and then persevered tirelessly to identify the cause of the issues. He also pointed out some other minor faults that he’d noticed during his efforts. Finally when I picked up the car this morning he accompanied me on a short test drive to satisfy himself that all the issues had been resolved and that I was happy. I felt I needed to write to you to say how pleased I was with the very professional way that Gordon handled my cars repair last week. The car had just gone out of Warranty and had developed a transmission problem. Gordon suggested that I leave it with him for a few days whilst he made a case to Mercedes in Germany. He came back saying that I only needed to contribute 20% towards the repair. Gordon handled this so well, so professionally and made me feel as a customer that your garage was really fighting my corner, that I feel he needs to be acknowledged for. My husband and I both own Mercedes-Benz cars, which we have previously purchased from a local dealership, but of late we have been very disappointed with the service and customer care which we have received. I would just like to say a huge thank you to your service department especially Phil Metherall, who got us back on the road to Spain back on 19th July when we hit a foreign object on the motorway in the early hours and it damaged the alloy and tyre on my car.Even though the part’s department were not officially open he was brilliant and managed to get a replacement wheel and together with another gentleman on Servicing arranged for Guildford Tyres to fit a new tyre as you didn’t have the correct one in stock. So after a 7 hour ‘pit stop’ we made it to Spain in my CLK500 complete with roof down and a shiny new wheel!! Once again a huge thanks to your staff!
Last Friday, I collected the car and was truly delighted. Firstly Matt's original estimate was spot on - there were no surprises, always a good start. When Ross proudly took me around (and under) the car to show me what he had done, his attention to details was evident. The meticulous way in which he had laid the new brake pipes was just one obvious example. I want to congratulate all of your aftercare team but particularly in this instance, to single out Matt for his (continued) excellent customer relation skills and Ross for the energy and passion he so clearly put into repairing my car.
We wanted to say thank you. Thank you for the Platinum Plus and Platinum cards, the accident management cards and the determination to go the extra mile that is completely evident throughout the entire service and workmanship you provided us with over the last couple of years which certainly isn't just a glossy marketing tool bearing no resemblance to our experience in reality. Our experiences so far have well exceeded your commitments and promises. To get a FREE MOT on our 12 year old car with only sensible advisory comments for the next service time in January and our car collected and delivered door to door by the ever helpful reception lady, Amanda Kite, at Hindhead, cleaned and looking new (not 12) beggars belief in this day and age. Systems and practices like yours simply don't exist elsewhere - so well done Tony Purslow and his team. Whenever we come into contact with other MB owners who cherish and value their (like us - nevertheless not the most expensive to buy!!) cars we will always recommend your venture as it has simply been superb for us.
I am writing following work completed today on my wife's SL350, on which the hydraulic pump which operates the roof overheated recently. Gordon Robertson had prepared me previously of the cost of the pump, should that in fact be the problem and when it was confirmed to me today that this was the case he spent some time negotiating discounts both on the part and the labour charges with Mercedes-Benz. Obviously I am very grateful for these " goodwill gestures" and would like to commend Gordon for his efforts on my behalf. My sincere thanks to you and your team.
Gordon as always was exceptionally helpful. He is a real credit to your business and that is why I travel from Chipstead in Surrey to Guildford to have any work on my car carried out. Even though there are a number of Mercedes dealerships considerably closer to my home. I know that any work carried out will be work that is needed and that I will not be overcharged and that the service will be exceptional.
From my experience, and I have had dealings with quite a few garages, Purslow’s is a fine example of customer care and service and I wonder why other companies find any level of service so difficult to achieve.
As usual, the service I received from Chris Harris was first rate. The repair work and MoT was done on time, with no hassle about the part under warranty and the car was returned nicely cleaned.
I just wanted to feedback that the service I received at Tony Purslow was fantastic – very easy to arrange to the service date, time and courtesy car. This is particularly important to me having such a tight time schedule with two young children. I dealt with Gordon, who was extremely helpful and the whole experience was very good.
I can only say that I had first class service.
For my part, I have now had my vehicle dealt with by Tony Purslow’s in Basingstoke, Hindhead and now Guildford and in all venue’s the attitude of the staff has been exemplary, they are polite, eager to assist and they communicate very clearly. My experience of Purslow’s has always been a pleasurable one and I hope to have many years of continued relations with the company.
What an amazing company Tony Purslow is! Your Service Department, customer care and quality of work is second to none and is what one would have expected in Rolls Royce 40 years ago! From the very start the service that I have received has be courteous, friendly and very efficient by everyone that I have met. In particular, John Weymouth has been very helpful, his knowledge of the vehicle leaves nothing to be desired and that includes setting up my telephone systems which I found rather confusing.
