The cheerful and fresh pink décor immediately suggests fine dining, and the owners Gill and Rupert Ponsonby have an excellent track record in restaurant ownership.

They used to run The Jolly Farmer, also in Guildford, where they established a reputation for good hospitality and cuisine.

Sumptuous Dining

The Olive Tree restaurant's menu focuses on seafood, which is prepared using quality fish. Mussels, chargrilled squid and baked cod in herb crust are just some of the delightful meals on offer at this restaurant.

For those with a sweet tooth, there is a range of delicious reasonably priced desserts to dine on after your meal.

Fine Wines

The wine list has been created by local company Bibendum, and they've excelled at it, with plenty to choose from at under £20 a bottle - bargains hard to find in other restaurants.

"A truly fantastic pub. Very well furnished and very comfortable. Always welcoming and warm. Great beers and good ales. Food is amazing and I'm sure the chefs are working 110% to keep it that way! But don't just take my word for that try and book a table at the last minute or pop in on a Friday night, IT'S PACKED! This is one pub that I have always found to be busy which says only one thing! IT'S GREAT!!!"
