Are you looking for conservation organisations or welfare organisations in Guildford? Surrey Wildlife Trust is one of the region’s leading wildlife conservation charities.

Surrey Wildlife Trust has a simple vision -
'a living landscape in Surrey that is rich in wildlife and valued by all'.

Caring for more than 9,000 hectares of Surrey's countryside, local charity, Surrey Wildlife Trust (SWT) is a registered charity and the only organisation in the region that deals solely with conserving all forms of wildlife in the county, for the benefit of both people and wildlife.

Being responsible for 4.5% of the county's countryside, SWT is the UK's largest wildlife trust in terms of the amount of land managed.

SWT Educational Services

Each year, Surrey Wildlife Trust works with approximately 8,000 children from across the county, providing wildlife education at three educational nature reserves in Surrey.

We believe that there is no better way to teach children about nature and biodiversity than by introducing them to the subjects in the great outdoors. Our fun, active and safe sessions are designed to focus on the importance of treating plants and animals with sensitivity and care. There is also a large emphasis on how we fit into the natural world and the need to look after the environment for the sake of future generations.

We also offer a range of workshops and events throughout the year:

· Schools Outreach Assemblies and Curriculum-Based Sessions

· School Grounds Advice

· Adult Education

· Environmental Birthday Parties

· Uniformed Group Sessions - Brownies, Scouts, Guides etc

· Bat Evenings (May and September Only)

· Fungi Workshops (October)

· Halloween and Christmas Children's Events
