Working with Matt was a sheer delight. He approached us after finding out about my band Eden Shadow. From first glance of his website I got super excited about what he could do for us and it was an honour to be one of the first bands to have a photoshoot with him. What was instantly recognisable about Matt was his warmth and friendliness when working with us. He really responded well to how we as musicians wish to be perceived and he endeavoured to capture our personality within the shoot. He definitely had a lot of creative input making the whole day very relaxed and enjoyable. Furthermore, Matt has a very individual style that has resulted in beautiful photos as a result. Myself and my then wife to be found Matt via an internet search and so obvioulsy weren't sure what to expect. However upon meeting the man himself he immediately welcomed us, and upon seeing his photographs we were convinced he was the ideal person to do our wedding.It was a very relaxed atmosphere on the day, no ordering us around to stand here and do that. Had the standard posed photo's but other than that Matt just blended into the background as one of the wedding guests.Would highly recommend Matt to anyone and indeed my sister-in-law has now booked Matt for her wedding.Many thanks for the fantastic memories that we will continue to cherish for many years to come.Richard & Sarah
The question really should be what we didn't love! From the moment we met Matt, we knew we were off to a good start, it got better when we discussed the kind of shots he liked taking and then were shown some of his work. It's always scary to book a photographer especially when it's for your wedding! But I'm glad we booked Matt and this became apparent very quickly when we had our pre-wedding shoot...he quickly understood what we liked and what we didn’t and was very patient in doing so! We got some great shots that we actually incorporated into the big day! On the day itself, which was Matt's first ever full on 600 guest Asian wedding, him and his team were brilliant in taking all the shots we requested and also got on with our guests like a dream! When we got a copy of the wedding pics, we were thrilled. It's safe to say we would be happy to work with Matt again without giving it a second thought and highly recommend him. Nadil & Farzana
There is a great deal to be said for having a wedding photographer who you get on well with and who really takes time to make sure he or she gets to know you before trying to capture the real you on the most important day of your life. Matt, is exactly the person you'd want if that is what you are looking for!When we first met Matt, we had such a lovely chilled out evening looking at his images and albums and really felt that his priority was on getting to know us. During our pre-wedding shoot we had great fun with him just getting used to the camera - not that this was hard, as his style is such that you'd hardly know he is there!Matt's ability to catch people at their natural best is the underlying theme to his photos and when we sat down to look at the full selection of pictures he took on the day, we felt as if we were re-living the entire day again, this time as guests at our own wedding. It was a wonderfully emotional experience!We cannot recomment Matt highly enough and feel that we were blessed to be able to have him as our photographer.
We loved Matts friendly, approachable manner. He also gave us some good tips on how to kiss for the camera and strike the best poses! It was an ease to work with him and discuss our big day. His images are fantastic & really captured every aspect. Communication with Matt was very easy and prompt.Having our photos displayed in an online slideshow format was a bonus we hadn't expected. There is a long list of reasons why you should have photos taken by Matt but the main reason we would recommend him is that he captured the look and feel of our wedding day so beautifully. The images were a fantastic mix of gorgeous close ups of tiny details - that we had spent ages thinking about but assumed would never be remembered -and stunning portraits of the guests and grounds. We really enjoyed the pre-wedding shoot and felt that really made Matt great value for money as we could meet him beforehand and he got to know us enough so that on our wedding day everything was incredibly relaxed and easy. The dvd slideshow to music of all the photos, that Matt gave us at the end, is a fantastic way to view all the photos and friends and family really enjoyed watching it. And it was none of that cheesy tear-jerky soundtrack either - it was a genuinely moving tribute to our wedding day that we will keep and look at again and again. We have no hesitation in recommending him!
Matt's photography is simply beautiful - we used him for our candle-lit church wedding in December.......and got amazing results. Matt is technical and personable, he has worked hard to be a photographer who "sees" natural light differently allowing him to create stunning images that other photographers just wouldn't know how too. The photos from our wedding were like a storyboard of the day and he caught the predictable (and unexpected) moments so perfectly. Matt is really talented and can make people relax so easily. He is then able to capture the real person. He recently took a photo of one of my staff and she is really pleased with it and it will now be appearing on our website with pride!

Whilst known for his amazing portraits, Matt is an amazing commercial photographer. When we launched our new pilates studio 2 years ago, Matt did the photo shoot for our new website - and 2 years on we still think we have the best website in the world - thanks to our great photos. From the moment Matt arrived he was very friendly yet professional. He put the whole family at ease and chatted to us about where would be best to capture the best shots of our family. He wanted to make sure he captured the best natural light possible.With having 3 generations in the photographs and the two youngest members being aged 3 yrs and also 8 months old, Matt had his work cut out for him! He wasn't phased by this and entertained the children and captured many happy moments. This is why I'd recommend Matt to anyone looking to capture their loved ones in this way.
Matt and Helen flew to Lanzarote to photograph our wedding day. They did a fantastic job and they resulting photographs were not only brilliant but they somehow managed to capture the atmosphere of the day! Matt shot our wedding in Italy, and it was like having an extra friend there rather than a photographer! He was relaxed, supportive, friendly, and invisible when shooting! We had never met before the wedding (geographical constraints!), but even now we simply refer to 'Matt' and all our guests know who it is! Matt takes THE most beautiful photographs. He's lovely to work with and really 'gets' kids, making them feel relaxed and at ease. Matt makes photography look so easy, that you think you should be able to do it too - until you try!I would recommend Matt for both family portraits, and commercial work (he's done both for me and did an amazing job.)
Most people dread the thought of a family photo - particularly when there are 6 of you ranging from 6 months to 40 something! You have nothing to worry about with Matt. This was a really fun experience for us all and we ended up with the most fabulous and original photos - which were presented beautifully on desk blocks, xmas cards, multi-frames etc. The bond he established with my kids was immediate and heartfelt and as a result - four strong characters became very amenable to his requests. Matt deserves all the awards and accolades he has won but most importantly he is such a nice person - and he makes you feel like your photos are unique and very personal. There were so many great photos - it was very difficult to pick just a few for framing - needless to say, Matt's advice was invaluable.
