Opposite one of the area's leading theatres, the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Bar Des Arts is one of the most sophisticated cocktail bars, wine bars and bistro and bars in Guildford.
By day, Bar Des Arts is a cafe - perfect for meeting friends, family or colleagues for a coffee and light meal.
By night, it becomes a sophisticated wine and cocktail bar, popular with patrons of the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, who visit Bar Des Arts before or after a show.

...Bar Des Arts transforms into a stylish cocktail and wine bar, and due to its location opposite the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, it is the ideal venue for a pre-theatre aperitif or to enjoy a bottle of fine wine after the performance.
Bar Des Arts serves a wide selection of cocktails, white, red, rosé and sparkling wine and Champagne. Choose from:

Alongside your chosen wine or cocktails, your party could indulge in a sharing platter, freshly prepared using the finest Continental meats and cheeses, and served with warm, crusty bread.

Live music
As well as being a popular destination for both pre and post-theatre drinks, Bar Des Arts also organises regular themed nights, featuring quality live music, drinks and food.
A recent event was the bar's Spanish Night, which boasted live music from 'Lone Pepper Duo', tapas and sangria, and was a fantastic way to savour the sizzling Spanish culture without stepping foot out of Guildford.

The Healthy but Tasty Food, Great Atmosphere, Friendly Staff, Easy access from the Station, Parking very close by.
On saturday 24th March I celebrated my 30th birthday in style with another 70 friends and family at the Bar Des Arts. I can honestly say it was the best birthday ever.... The venue was perfect, the staff were amazing and the cocktails were very tasty. All of my friends commented on how great the place was and enjoyed the evening as much as I did. Thank you to all the staff for making my birthday so special, I will definitely be back.
A great venue for a drink in the evening, coffee in the morning, a delicious lunch or a catch up with friends in the afternoon! Can't rate it highly enough.

This is one of Guildford's best kept secrets! At last there is somewhere to go if you want a really good cocktail made by bar staff who really know their drinks.

Just hosted a meeting at Bar Des Arts in their meeting space upstairs. Found the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The served great sandwiches and tea's and coffee's that were a big hit. The space is really cool as well, they have a photographic exhibition on up there at the minute which really added to the feel of the venue! Would definitely use this place in the future for both drinks and meeting space!
