Come and awaken your senses through the arts

A Free Event that is supported by The Guernsey Arts Commission and by the Guernsey College of Further Education.

FUN FOR EVERYONE - ALL WELCOME, COME ALONG AND 'AWAKEN YOUR SENSES TO SOMETHING NEW'

The Event includes:

- Sign Theatre, Accessible Puppetry, Sign Singing, Movement on Stage workshops (Sign up on the day)

 

- Free British Sign Language taster sessions (for all ages)

 

- Free fun Deaf Awareness taster sessions (for all ages)

 

- The event has just teamed up with The Gallery. They will be doing arts and crafts in relation to the event.

 

- Two Sign Theatre Performances by HandPrint Theatre Company (a Deaf and Hearing Accessible theatre company, which includes the first, leading Deaf West-End Actor) *

 

SATURDAY 26TH FEBRUARY (Evening):

Punch and Judy - 7.30pm (age 15 and up)

Mr Punch, one jolly good fellow,meets his Judy and he's not so mellow!

Lifelong friends, lovers and enemies, Punch and Judy are the latest media couple, destined for a relationship of passion and heartache.

Physical theatre, clowning and British Sign Language combine to examine the treacherous relationship of the seaside sweethearts, as they are removed from the seaside and thrown into the spotllight.

A traditional tale with a modern twist for adults that certainly 'Packs a punch'.

For over 15's only.

Doors and bar open from 6.30pm show starts at 7.30pm

SUNDAY 27TH FEBRUARY (Matinee):

Soapy Sam - 3.30pm (families, inc. young children)

Sam loves hiding, especially when it's bath time but what happens when adventurers play with the plug?

Using puppetry, physical theatre and clowning combined with British Sign Language small things are made into large characters. Handprint Theatre ignites the imagination of all as the magic from beneath the bath starts to bubble...

Suitable for all the family.
