Karen includes all of the class in decisions like exams and festivals. She is also very good with the smaller children and is very patient.

My 2 boys both attend this dance school, and have both grown in confidence because of it. Miss Karen creates a fun and happy environment and really gets the best out of every single child. Both boys took part in the Dance Festival last year and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I never get a moan when their lessons come around, and they always come out beaming. I would highly recommend this school to anybody considering dance lessons.

Karen runs a professional and friendly dance school. My 8 year old daughter has been attending since she was 4 and loves her ballet, modern and tap lessons.
I used to joke about this dance school being my second home. Karen gave me some of the best times of my life, I loved performing and I loved performing with friends. From dancing with a Neon flower pot on my head in pantomime, to dancing on a west end stage, I'll always remember my time there. I am still very proud to have been one of Karen's girls!

I am proud to say I started dancing with Karen from when I was about 3 years old and I am now a full time professional dancer in London and around the world. Karen is an AMAZING teacher and so inspiring to the children she teaches. I can remember doing many dance festivals and concerts, pantomimes and dance school shows! The best part of my day used to be going to Karen's!I have made some lifelong friends and some memories of a life time. And will always be proud to say I started my training at the Karen Dempsey School of Dance.
Both my daughters have been dancing at Karen's dance school since they were 3 years old. They both throughly enjoy it very much. Karen is very kind and patient . Oh the hours I have spent waiting for my children whilst they dance.. Starts off as baby ballet at two and bit by bit they want more!! They LOVE it! They LOVE Miss Karen.... Thank you Karen for keeping my kids happy and healthy x

My daughter has only, within the past month or so, joined Karen Dempsey School of Dance and already she seems a much more confident little girl and is thoroughly enjoying her ballet classes.Karen has a unique way of engaging the children and my daughter is always coming home straight away to practice her good toes and naughty toes and showing us what she has learnt each week.Karen really goes beyond just teaching and ensures all of her students enjoy themselves while learning each of the diciplines she teaches.My daughter has already asked me about perhaps joining a tap class with Karen which is a great insight to Karen's teaching skills. Karen also keeps us up to date with anything else happening in the island that the children may be interested in and takes the time to understand each child individually.
Both my daughters, aged 8 and 4 have been going to Karen's Dance school from a very early age, it's a lovely dance school. The children love Karen, she always makes the classes fun and they never get bored. They have been able to take part in Dance Festivals and it's given them so much confidence. I can't recommend Karen's Dance school enough.
My daughter absolutely loves her dance lessons and seeing her progress so well over the last few years has been a real pleasure. With Karen's support she has gained excellent exam results, as well as having plenty of performance opportunities which she has thoroughly enjoyed. There's always something to look forward to.

Myself and my daughter have made good friends since being with Karen and have had some unforgetable experiences with the school which we will cherish for ever. The dancers are encouraged and nurtured by Karen and it is lovely to see their and her efforts come to fruition with excellent exam results and stage performances. Whether it is a small event or on a West End Stage. I would recommend her without hesitation

My daughter has been attending the Karen Dempsey School of dance since she was 2 1/2 and she absolutely loves it! Karen teaches the little ones a lovely mixture of Ballet, rhythm and balance which is hugely beneficial to a developing child, even if they are never likely to be ballerinas! Jess is now 4 and does modern and tap as well as ballet and I honestly believe that the confidence, agility, poise and musicality she has gained from Karen's classes will help her throughout her life. But most importantly of all, she always comes out of the class with a big smile on her face!
Both my son and daughter have been dancing with Karen since they were two. With Karen having children of her own she is sympathetic and understanding to those day to day worries that some children have and always goes out of her way to make all children feel welcome. Through the dance school both my children and myself have made valuable friendships, I feel they are part of my extended family. Everyone joins together to help one another and to support each other in everthing they do. Both children have had great opportunites such as performing on a West End stage, Disneyland Paris,Pantomimes and have competed in many Dance festivals - treasured memories that will live with us forever. Karen has a lovely way with the children and nurtures and encourages them to their full potential. I would definately recommend this school.

Both my daughters dance with Karen and love every minute of it! Not only do they enjoy their weekly classes and the chance to progress though examinations, they also love the other opportunities open to them. These include performing not only in the bi-annual Dance Festivals, and additional summer schools and workshops but also being part of the St Stephen's Players cast in Pantomine each December. The School has a really welcoming and friendly atmosphere for pupils and parents alike, and we can't recommend it highly enough.
Both of my daughters have been a part of The Karen Depsey school of dance and have gained so much from their lessons. Karen and her assistants are wonderful with the children always giving their best in their teaching. I find the venue clean, roomy and in a convenient location and the fees are reasonable
Our daughter has been going to The Karen Dempsey School of Dance since she was 3 years old, now 11 and still enjoying it very much. She has had the opportunity to take part in Dance Festivals, Dance World Cup and got to Dance in Euro Disney with the school. She also enjoys taking part in the pantomimes. Karen is a great teacher who includes and encourages all the children. I am sure we will be attending the school for many more years. Would definitely recommend.
My daughter has been going to Miss Karen since she was three, and absolutely loves it! She has had great fun in the school shows and is looking forward to the Summer School. The classes have helped her concentration, balance, co-ordination, and have fuelled her love of music. Miss Karen has a lovely calm, friendly approach which the children love.
I feel privileged to have been a member of the Karen Dempsey School of Dance for the last 14 years. Since joining the school I have been able to work towards my ISTD examinations in Ballet, Tap and Modern whilst also taking part in local pantomimes, dance festivals, the Dance World Cup and being given the chance to perform at Her Majesty's Theatre, London. The atmosphere at this school is what makes it so special. Whilst running an ever growing dance school, Karen still manages to find time to get to know every single child and no one is ever left out! Senior pupils also have strong relationships with younger pupils helping to make everyone feel welcome and inspiring the younger students. The standard of talent in the school amazes me and Karen's nurturing touch helps to ensure every child reaches their full potential.The Karen Dempsey School of Dance has helped me grow in confidence, make new friends and achieve things I only dreamt of. For this reason I would highly recommend it!
Both our children age 6 and 4 go to Karen Dempsey's and love the different dancing they do. From ballet to modern and tap you can be assured your children will have a fun time learning lots of different routines and skills.

It is a very fair and happy school and I always recommend it to anyone asking about dance schools. My daughter has had some fabulous opportunities which she will remember forever such as performing in Disneyland Paris, on 2 West End stages, competing in the Dance World Cup and numerous shows and dance festivals.
I would like to highly recommend this large dance school for those especially living in the North of the Island, but worth travelling to from anywhere! My daughters have attended for seven years now and during that time have had trips to London to dance on West End stages, appeared in local pantomimes and are working through their grades for ballet, tap and modern (jazz) dancing. They both love it and even though they're both there at least 3 times a week, they never complain about going. The emphasis on this dance school is definitely Fun with a capital "F". The girls love Miss Karen and her staff. Prospective new pupils should call Miss Karen and arrange to view the dance studios, because they really are superb. There is a huge room downstairs with a second smaller studio upstairs, both very new and modern, with modern toilet facilities. I have seen other local schools that have to manage with considerably smaller and older studios. I think the students benefit from a larger working space. All in all, highly recommended.
My children have been dancing with Karen for 8 years and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Through the dance school they have taken part in the dance festival, they have danced on west end stages as well as taking part in local pantomimes and shows. They love all their teachers and always look forward to dancing.As a parent I am very happy with this school as Karen has such a friendly, calm, fun way with the children. She includes all children who wish to take part and the end results are always amazing. The encouraging and positive style of teaching has increased their confidence generally and they have had such amazing opportunities which they will remember all their lives.
Both my boys go to Drama classes and have a thoroughly enjoyable time! They have been able to take part in various events including concerts at Beau Sejour, entertainment at Candie Gardens, and the Eisteddfod. They have grown in confidence, learnt the value of team work and have had their eyes opened to the world of musical theatre - all thanks to the enthusiasm of the drama team. When my daughter is old enough she will definitely attend.
