Lovely Hotel, just a shame that the room I had was in the Annex building located at the top of a steep hill.
Friendly staff, great food, lovely area!

First time we’d been to Guernsey so didn’t know what to expect- but this wonderful hotel will be the main reason we come back. Great staff, great facilities, great food, only a short distance from St Petersport.
We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute of it. We ate in the hotel every night, what great food! All the staff were great especially in the ocean restaurant, we got to know some really well and hope to see them again.
We were in the annex, there is a short stiff uphill walk involved but we were much fitter when we left.
We found Guernsey quieter than Jersey, ideal for a chill out holiday, we enjoyed some moderately challenging walks (there’s plenty to choose from) and this hotel is an ideal base.

A small friendly hotel, well located fairly close to town. A steep climb
back from the shingle beach.
A good menu - food well prepared and of high quality.
Had assumed that a "silver room" would be adequate but sadly we were disappointed.

We had a large comfortable room with a sea view. The Ocean restaurant offered good food. The hotel had attractive gardens and was well located for St Peter's Port and for the rest of the island. Regular bus services stopped nearby. It was located in an attractive valley leading down to a pretty cove. Guernsey is well worth a week's holiday and we also enjoyed a days trip to Sark.

If we stay again it would not be in the Annex building. Underneath our room 47, there is a Mexican restaurant which plays constant head banging music at night. We had to ask them to turn it down to get to sleap! Not a happy chap.

We decided to have a luxury stay for 3 days. We had a Platinum room which gave us lots of space and a sea view. We were really impressed with the quality of cooking and value for money in the Ocean Restaurant. We were originally planning to have at least one night out in St Peter Port but decided that the food was so good, with lots of choice, why did we need to go anywhere else to eat? The staff also made our stay very memorable. They were very helpful and friendly and did everything that they good to make our stay enjoyable.

We walked into St Peter Port, during the day, on several occasions. It is approximately 25 to 30 minutes walk to the town centre. Remember that it is uphill on the way back but there is a regular bus service stopping at the end of the road.

We would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel but very expensive rooms if you want a view other than a car park or trees right in front of the window.

Sauna out of action
Swimming pool too hot to use

Nicer less expensive hotels elsewhere

Loved our stay at this beautifully set hotel with it's picturesque views. Our room was at the top and rather hot,the windows opened but not very wide so air could not circulate very well. But very clean & spacious. We asked for a fan which was given to us but Aircon definitely is needed if summers are going to be as hot as it is this year.
We tried the Rock Garden steak restaurant and it was very good food, my steak was cooked just as I liked it.
The Ocean Restaurant was beautifully decorated & the food again was superb. We thought all the staff were very good throughout our stay.
We would go back again but maybe try another room with a balcony.

Ticking all the boxes makes for a perfect stay.
OK, so perhaps it was the gorgeous gardens both above and below the hotel.
Or maybe it was the picturesque bay at the bottom of the valley
Or the location providing a scenic cliff walk into town/the harbour plus quick return by road.
Or possibly the great room with a balcony.
Or the very large flagon of sherry (“just help yourself”) in the room.
Or the mega breakfast selections – cold and hot.
Or the delicious dinners (and the chef will even customize a meal if s/he’s not too busy).
Or the friendly service, including transfers in and around the town.
Or…maybe all of the above.
Do I need to say any more?

One of the best meals I have ever had at the Fermain Valley. And the most lethal cocktails. Lol. Have dined here with family, friends and with work. Have also been to works functions in the hotel and it's a great venue. Walked up to St Martins from town and popped in with my Mum for a latte. She loved it

Our favourite hotel in Guernsey in beautiful valley surroundings with sea views. Great to sit on terraces in summer having snacks or full menu. They also do barbecues in the summer

Very comfortable and lovely hotel overlooking Fermain Bay, good food good wine and friendly staff. Our main reason for the visit was that my wife and I spent a holiday in 1971 overlooking Fermain Bay, fell in love with it and named our new house Fermain, just had to return to see it all again and the Island.

Great location, excellent facilities, superb restaurants (3 of them) but the best thing about this hotel is the staff, who are friendly, helpful and welcoming.
