Christmas has indeed come early in Guernsey this year. Avant Garden is getting us in the mood for The Magic of Christmas with Nick Martel's Winter Wonderland at Sausmarez Manor.
The Best of Guernsey were invited to the opening weekend by Saint Nick himself. We spent a great afternoon taking a good look around and even started the dreaded Christmas shopping!
It wasn't so long ago that Nick was holding his closing down sale so it's great that he's finishing his time at their current Sausmarez Manor location on a high note with his acclaimed Winter Wonderland.

As you enter this treasure trove of beautiful decorations, trinkets, gifts and candles, you are instantly transported to a grotto fantasy world. Indulge in the colours and spicy smells of Christmas getting you in the festive mood ready for that special time of year.
The difference this year is that the whole marquee is now full of decorations so more room to browse and more stock. You name it, they've got it!
Baubles, candles, gifts, stockings, garlands, lights, artificial trees, wrapping, cards, decorations, tags, educational children's books and much, much more.

Some of the new products this year include outdoor 9ft light trees with a star on top, perfect to decorate a lawn as well as long lasting sun dials and weather vanes. Inside are new Christmas Yankee candles in three sizes and four scents - Christmas tree, rose, sparkling cinnamon and happy Christmas.
If you fancy having some homemade decorations this year, there's also DIY stockings, garlands and baubles in stock for craft enthusiasts.
