Andre Duquemin Osteopathy has been a business member of The Best of Guernsey for just under a year now and has recently announced its move to the newly opened Avenue Clinic in St Julian's Avenue.
The Best of Guernsey were delighted when Andre Duquemin invited us to visit the island's only multidisciplinary clinic to have a look around and find out what this new avenue means to him and his clients.
The Avenue Clinic, now in its fourth week, was set up by Dimi Argryos and is a collection of individuals from a variety of professions who have joined together to form this multidisciplinary practice. Islanders now have the opportunity to gain a variety of treatments through private health insurance, all under one roof.
Treatments currently available include:

- Yoga
They also will be offering Speech Therapy and Hypnotherapy early in 2012.
Andre starts on Monday 31st October as one of three osteopaths at the Clinic with Dimi and Gemma Piercey. Dimi and Andre have 25+ years' experience and have overseen more than 40,000 treatment sessions.
Andre is enthusiastic about the move and is looking forward to learning from the other practitioners;
"I will be joining forces with likeminded professional practitioners and it will be a great way of referring patients within one clinic".
Andre is a General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) registered osteopath who graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 2001. Osteopathic treatment does not target symptoms only but treats the parts of the body that have caused the symptoms.
Andre uses a holistic approach to treat a variety of complaints including neck pain / stiffness, shoulder problems ("frozen shoulder", rotator cuff injury), elbow and wrist pain, low back pain, hip and knee pain, ankle and foot pain and sports injuries.
"I work with newborns up to patients in their 90's, office workers to sports players and treatment can vary from patient to patient".
Offering competent, effective and professional treatment is paramount to Andre.
"I want my patients to feel safe, that their problem is understood and explained to them".
Patients will now be able to book appointments with Andre using the Clinic's easy to use Online Booking System via their website. They will also be able to sign up to regular newsletters keeping them up to date with the latest news and offers.
Andre is also excited about a brand new offering for his patients - a TOG GaitScan. This is the most technologically advanced gait analysis system which is a revolutionary diagnostic tool for assessing patients' biomechanics.
The patient walks barefoot across a rectangular plate which is linked to the computer and takes a 3 dimensional view of their gait. The results are instant providing a sophisticated explanation of foot mechanics and allowing Andre to assist with orthotic and/or shoe solutions.
