At the Bespoke Denture Centre in Gravesend  that is what we create. Traditionally denture wearers have gone to their dentist for dentures. The dentist will take impressions of the patient’s mouth and send these to a technician with written instructions of the denture design. Generally these instructions only have the colour of the teeth specified.

The technician will not have met the patient and will have no information about:

The condition of the patients gums and remaining teeth
The age or sex of the patient
Any indication of what the patient wants their denture to look like

Sports Mouthguards

Replacing a lost or broken tooth with a denture is a last resort. Far better to protect the teeth from trauma and damage. It is not only contact sports where the teeth should be protected. Teeth can be broken when the top and bottom teeth clash together, maybe horse riding, playing netball, baskeball, squash or football.

The mouthguards made at the centre are all custom made, constructed in various thicknesses depending on the sport. They are available in 24 different colours and conform to the European personal protective equipment directive. So if you play sport and don’t wear a mouthguard chances are you will be making an appointment to see me for a denture.
