We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ostler's Cottage near Newark. Jean and Ian were great hosts and couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming. The cottage is cosy and comfortable to stay in, and very well equipped. The situation (in the middle of the countryside) was perfect for a peceful relaxing break but close enough to the village of Dry Doddington to make use of the friendly and welcoming pub which does great food. Ostlers Cottage is also close to Newark, and the showground (we were there for the antiques fair). The recommendation for places of interest to visit and local places for meals were spot on. It is also very good value. We will definitely be back!

A very well equipped cottage and excellent value for money. Jean's local knowledge meant we enjoyed our stay to the full. We had a wonderful time and will certainly come again

Thought I would let you know we had another fantastic win at the Championship show on Monday... Hannah gained a 3rd in Puppy class but Elsa went one step further wining both Mid Limit and Limit class to go on and get Best Bitch in show. We were thrilled to bits and carted quite a few more rosettes and trophies home with us. Thanks again for letting us stay in your beautiful home, I do hope its not too long before we are back (if we can still come back!) Thank Jean again for the lovely Plum pudding and allowing me to see your lovely home

What a lovely place to stay. Your holiday let is charming - warm and friendly, extremely comfortable and superbly well appointed. Beth and I greatly enjoyed our stay and look forward to the next time we can visit with you. We hope the venture does well. With such accommodation, it deserves to do so

We just needed a place for one night but thay were really flexible and all the arrangements were very easy and we were made to feel very welcome. The place has been done up beautifully without spoiling the great original features of what is an amazing old farm. I got a great tour of some vintage pottery and victoran graffiti thrown in for free. There is also a resident authority on Richard III and mediaeval literature available, should you need one. When asked if there was anything else we needed, I jokingly requested Indian Head Massage. Turns out the neighbour's trained in that. We'll certainly stay again when we're in the area. Thanks.
