In the Polish language, enabling the learner to pronounce
Polish names and understand/respond to some simple greetings.
Description
This half day course is delivered by a native English speaker who,
having spent a number of years living and working in Poland,
fully understands the difficulties perceived by the English speaker confronted with Polish for the first time. Through a number of interactive activities the learner can focus on the similarities to English phonetics and recognise the different sounds both aurally and in the written form.
Target audience
Anybody who has contact with Polish migrants, either adults or children.
Maximum 20 per class.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the session participants will:
• Be aware of the phonetic similarities/differences between Polish & English
• Have a basic grasp of the Polish alphabet
• Understand and be able to respond to some simple greetings
• Be able to pronounce Polish names

Cost
The course can be delivered at EM Centre for Learning, Litton House, Grantham, NG31 9SN, cost £50.00 per person (exc VAT)including tea/coffee on arrival and a mid-session break.
The course can also be delivered at a location of your choice, cost is only £225.00 plus vat and travel/parking costs for the three hour session for up to 20 people.
This is normally delivered during the normal working week hours, but can be delivered as a twilight or Saturday session for a supplement
