The BNI is indisputably the largest and most established Business Support and Networking organisation in the world today. The BNI launched by Dr Ivan Misner in 1983, can be found in 36 countries around the world. Their philosophy is "givers gain", If I give you business, you will want to give me business in return. This code of ethics has resulted in some £1.1b worth of business changing hands. Charlie Robertson and Rob Copeland are the BNI West of Scotland Executive Directors who's many responsibilities include advising, guiding and monitoring the running of the chapters. There are 12 Chapters in the West of Scotland, 5 of which are here in Glasgow. A real testament to the ever increasing popularity of Business Support and Networking and in particular the BNI

Arrangements to attend a meeting can be made through Charlie or Rob. They can also advise which chapters have an opening for your particular trade or profession. You can however contact a chapter direct. When you attend the meeting you will be well looked after by one of the chapter visitor hosts who will introduce you to the members and explain in a bit more detail the meeting structure and the business exchange process (referrals). If after the meeting you feel that you would like to come again, you can arrange with the local Chapter Director to pop along for a second visit.
