The Sculpture School provides an exceptional opportunity to realise and nurture your talents in the artistic field of sculpting. The classes are designed and taught by award winning Andrew Sinclair ARBS with the course administered by fellow sculptor, Diane Coates, thus providing you with benefit of decades of experience from these established sculptors.
The courses are totally different to anything available. Designed to share nearly two decades of knowledge and tricks of the trade and to help you move forward on a practical level it is irrelevant if you are a beginner, a practised sculptor or somewhere between the two. Enrolling on the modules The Sculpture School run offers you the opportunity to move your development forward quickly from the moment you attend. It really is absolutely essential for anyone seriously considering becoming a accomplished sculptor.

Module 4 - Moulding & Casting
Preparing the cast for moulding

Using plas-ti-shim walls
Removing the mould
Measuring resin & pigment content - bronze, aluminium etc.
A free plas-ti-shim kit is provided.
All of these modules can be booked privately or by secondary schools and art colleges who are looking to and add value to existing art education syllabuses.
plas-ti-shim
Andrew Sinclair ARBS designed the plas-ti-shim kit to replace the customary clay wall normally used in moulding techniques. It is very flexible thereby enabling the sculptor to deal with difficult shapes by presenting a clean cut seam. The plas-ti-shim kit has been developed by WP Notcutt and can be ordered via the website.

Andrew Sinclair ARBS and Diane Coates BA Hons are both established and prominent sculptors in their own right. Andrew is ranks highly amongst the most inspired figurative, portrait and surrealist sculptors in the UK. His work is on display both privately and publically throughout the UK, US and Europe. Diane produces both private and corporate commissions and continues to work in a commercial sculpture and casting studio. She is well known for her celebrated life-size bronze figures. Diane is also a prominent member of The Surrey Sculpture Society and heavily involved in organising and exhibiting its work of The Surrey Sculpture Society.
