Named in honour of inspirational Christians Anna Kessler and Victoria Payne, the Anna Victoria Nursing Home was established over two decades ago as a charitable trust. This purpose-built nursing home was constructed in 1994 to offer the Frinton and Walton area the best in short term and long term care, with Christian values. With these ethics in mind the Anna Victoria is available to anyone, regardless of their creed or beliefs, over the age of 65 with a chronic or terminal ailment, or a physical disability.
The Anna Victoria Nursing Home is beautifully decorated and well furnished to a surprisingly high standard and is surely one of the best nursing homes around. There are 28 en-suite bedrooms each with their own television, phone point and nurse-call device. Complementing the bedrooms are two comfortable living rooms, a large dining room, substantial gardens and even a salon for hairdressing. Regular entertainments are available, such as the weekly piano recitals, and, whenever possible, monthly trips are arranged for live music or pantomime etc. There is also a frequently updated mobile library service. The Anna Victoria welcomes visitors at all times and can make special arrangements for visitors who've travelled from afar.
The Anna Victoria Nursing Home provides the very highest quality of short term nursing care and long term care for Frinton and Walton. Individual care plans are put together by the staff together with the resident and their family (or chosen representatives). Every member of staff at the Anna Victoria Nursing Home undergoes training to a minimum level of NVQ Level 2. Supplementing the nursing staff are qualified catering staff who prepare excellent meals based on the residents' choices and nutritional requirements. The Anna Victoria is also regulated and inspected by the Commission for Social Care Inspection to confirm their commendable standard of nursing care is being maintained.
