Thursday morning saw the first meeting this year of the revitalised Gunfleet Business Club.
The group now has a new venue, Cafe 19, and, as one of those lucky enough to be there, I can personally vouch for the excellence of Andrew's breakfasts and the service we received from the staff. Getting up that early in the morning comes as a shock to most people (and indeed some breakfast clubs find it hard to recruit new members for that reason alone) but the standard of the food and the coffee alone would make it well worth the effort.
It looks like this group is going to be successful again and Malcolm Vertigen, the owner of the area's first-class local magazine, is to be praised for the initiative of setting it up in the first place.
Future meetings will feature a speaker and there is also going to be more opportunity for attendees to introduce themselves and their business activities.
So if you're in business in Frinton and Walton, or the Tendring area generally, why not come along at about 7 am on the third Thursday of every month and join us for breakfast? You're bound to meet some new people and enjoy the breakfast and the conversation.
