Frinton Rotary Club fund raising over the Christmas period collected more than £4000.
This money has gone to the Haiti Appeal and has provided Shelterboxes which contain vitally important tents.
The Rotary Shoebox Appeal has sent 225 boxes to Central European orpahanges, thanks to Tendring college, Frinton Methodist Church and Emmanuel Church, Walton. The boxes hold toiletries, toys, stationery and other items for the children.
The Rotarians also delivered nearly three tons of potatoes to 200 elderly people in Frinton and Walton who have no transport of their own.
