Here is a piece about Frinton In Bloom this year, compiled by the Chairman, David Foster;
"Although the weather has been particularly harsh so far this year with an unusual amount of snow and frost, it has not deterred the In Bloom team of volunteers and partners who have been busy preparing for Spring and Summer by getting on with those Winter jobs of trimming back the hedges and shrubs. The gardens are returning to life as indicated by the early signs of the shoots from the previous year's dormant bulbs.
This year Essex County Council are commencing Frinton's regeneration project for the main shopping venue in Connaught Avenue which will see the removal and replacement of the existing trees. Trees that can be saved will be relocated to other road verges in the town.
Also this year the Crescent garden is having a makeover to include the replacement of the pathways which is part of Tendring District Council's 5 year mangement plan for this garden and once complete it is hoped to achieve the prestigious Green Flag Award."
