I attended the Frinton Chamber of Commerce meeting yesterday. A new committee has been elected this year under the Chairmanship of Jamie Nicol (Essex Blinds & Awnings) and monthly meetings are now held at Frinton Golf Club.
A wide range of subjects was discussed with a combination of new ideas and useful experience being aired. There are plans to promote use of the businesses locally by means of different types of events and special occasions and also to ensure that the traders in the area are able to respomd fully to new proposals affecting the towns and villages.
The aim is also to widen the geographical scope of the Chamber's area and new members will be welcome from Walton, the Kirbys, Great Holland and Thorpe.
It's really good to see this organisation really taking off. Meeting attendances are much higher than they have been for some time and the chamber is growing and will continue to grow in influence.
If you're a local business owner, why not come along with a view to joining? You can contact me for more information or go direct to the Chamber - follow this link to their page on our site http://www.thebestof.co.uk/frinton%20and%20walton/41420/1/1/the_best_of.aspx
