A Charitable Organisation - Time and Place - A desire to change the driving culture of our young people here in the Forest of Dean.
About the Charity
The Time and Place charitable organisation was founded by a group of driving instructors in the Forest of Dean who were sick and tired of reading about the senseless deaths of our young drivers and their passengers here in the Forest area.
Public meeting Held
On deciding enough was enough they put their heads together and thought of innovative ways of getting the road safety message across – In an effort to educate local people here in the Forest of Dean about the dangers of bad driving and help stop ignorance claiming their lives.
The Charities Presentations
The Time and Place Charitable organisation delivers an emotional and hard hitting message to local schools throughout the Forest of Dean area. These presentations are proving to work well in getting the message across to our youngsters. This charity is changing attitudes, young people are thinking that there is a “Time and Place” for driving fast; the race track or the rally circuit, not the public roads here in the Forest of Dean.
Getting the Charities message across
All in all, Time and Place have visited 23 schools across Gloucestershire including many in the Forest of Dean area, having been invited back 2 or 3 times to some. Time and place charity need this message to go out year after year to our schools in the Forest of Dean, changing the thinking of our younger children, before they learn to drive. But making a difference costs money, every donation helps to What price a young life lost, compared to one saved?
The Charities Aims
The Charities eventual aim is to provide a Driving Centre in the Forest of Dean benefiting all road users, young, elderly, cyclists, pedestrians and drivers.
