Owner Adrian Eyles built a reputation for fine cuisine with his previous restaurants in the Forest of Dean, Carriages and The Dog & Muffler. Now he's refurbished the Ship Inn to offer fine dining, drinks and stylish modern accommodation.

You won't find many other fine dining restaurants quite like the Ship. It has what Adrian calls "country elegance". The style is relaxed, with an open fire in winter and fresh flowers in summer. And Adrian is a firm believer in fine ingredients.
The menu changes with the season, with almost everything coming from local suppliers around the Forest of Dean. Every meal is freshly prepared at the restaurant.
Accommodation in fine style
Like the restaurant, the ensuite rooms at the Ship have been refurbished in fine style. They're bang up to date with flat screen TV, DVD player and wifi internet access. Beautifully decorated too.
What could be nicer after a great meal - with breakfast in the restaurant and freshly ground coffee to look forward to in the morning! Some rooms have views of the river and the famous Severn bore as well.
