Rena and Jack are the new landlord and landlady at The New Inn at Shortstanding near Coleford. They’ve given this old Forest of Dean pub a new makeover and you’ll find it has a real ‘country’ feel, complete with a massive open fire, good beer and good cheer.
This great little inn is set in picturesque surroundings within a couple of miles of Symonds Yat. There’s a generous beer garden, and the bar is stocked with a great choice of beers. Plenty of parking with a large car park too.
Traditional home cooked food
Here’s a local pub where you can enjoy real home cooking any day of the week, Monday to Sunday. Rena and Jack’s big menu has something for everyone.
Whether you want a full meal in the restaurant or just a bar snack, you won’t be disappointed. The restaurant welcomes hungry diners seven nights a week. And on Sundays, a traditional Sunday pub lunch is served from 12.00 – 3.00pm.
