The family room was very large. We only stayed one night but would recommend it for a long weekend or Mon to Fri break. Good location for days out with the children. They also did food in the George and a Sunday Carvery which we didn't try. The cooked breakfast was good.

This family owned pub and adjacent lodge is simply the best!
The welcome from the hosts is warm and friendly - within minutes you feel like old friends!
The food (cooked by the owners daughter) is really high quality with a great choice and fresh ingredients. Try to find room for the cheesecake!

The rooms are lovely, individual with many traditional features updated with a relaxing clean and modern feel.

It's a great family room, with five of us it can often be difficult to find something altogether that isn't cramped. The room is a good size with an en suite that is generous in proportions.

The beds are very comfortable and everywhere is so clean. There is a great swing and slide for us to play on right next to the accomodation. The staff are very freindly.

First visit here and we had a Carvery, meat melted in your mouth and plenty of vegatables. Pudding was plentiful and light. Will recommend The George to family and friends. Staff were excellent.
