Hugh is a great driving instructor to learn with as he has a great sense of humour and makes you feel relaxed while learning to drive.
He always puts his self out to make sure his students gets the support and learning they need to feel happy and safe on the road, giving up some of his own time if he feels it is needed.
All round I would strongly recomend to any one who is thinking of taking driving lessons to try Hugh Mills Driving School first.

I started learning with a different driving instructor and what a waste of money and time that was. All she did was get me to drive around while she moaned about her life. When I found out about Hugh I started straight away and learnt so much from one lesson. He's brilliant!! He is kind yet firm. If I ever performed a manouvre slightly wrong he would always get me to go back and do it again until I got it right. Bless him! always kept me smiling. Thanks Hugh.

I would highly recommend Hugh as a driving instructor; I passed my theory and practical test first time, both of which I could not have done without Hugh's help. When stuck on certain areas of my theory, Hugh helped me and explained to me exactly what was going to be asked of me in the test, making me feel much more confident. I also felt confident on the day of my practical test- naturally, nervous as well, but Hugh made me in to a confident driver, ready to face any difficult situation.

Hugh is a brilliant instructor that just makes you feels calm and relaxed. He works hard to make sure you do the best that you can and if you do encounter any problems will talk you though them and help you over come them in a calm friendly manner. If you learn with Hugh he will help you progress at a rate that is comfortable to you and your abilities, so when you learn something new and it goes well it can really boost your confidence. I thoroughly recommend Hugh because he is just simply brilliant at what he does.

Anybody looking to learn to drive can't go wrong with Hugh Mills. He's a very fair driving instructer who is very professional and friendly. If you make a mistake (Which you will), Hugh will stay calm, pull you over and explain, very clearly, what you did wrong and how to fix it.

I really enjoyed my lessons with Hugh. He is reliable, friendly and professional. Hugh helped me through my driving with many a set back, Changing lessons, extra lessons and picking up and dropping off in many locations,and each time with a smile and a chat. Hugh helped me with my Theory test as well as my Practical Test. I passed First time and can't thank him enough. I would recommend him in a heart beat.

Hugh Mills, was the best instructor i had.. an i went through 3!! he was the only one that i felt really listened to what i already knew and how to work on the bits i wasn't happy with.

I stress out quite easy, but found no problems when learning with Hugh, as he was very patient, and humourous when i needed it!!

I'd recommend Hugh Mills to anybody needing to drive, he got me through my test and was the best support through the whole journey.

Having passed my motorcycle test several years previous, and having a high powered sports bike I never thought I would need a car, but in truth I really did.

I had gotten very used to riding a sports bike in all weathers, and so naturally had picked up my unique habits.

Hugh guided me through passing my car test and helped me with the transition from two wheels to four in a very friendly and helpful manner.

It was important for me to find an instructor who understands my motoring background, and Hugh was excellent for this.

His tuition and efforts to get the lessons and practise I needed were first class and without fault. I would always recommend Hugh Mills driving school for your motoring tuition.

My only regret? not getting on and passing my test with Hugh sooner than I did!

I really enjoyed all of my lessons with hugh he was not only a thorough instructor he was also like a friend and helped not only in the practical areas of driving but also the theory. He was very reliable and flexible with my work hours.

I was very nervous when i first started driving and Hugh was at all times very calm and patient with me, taking the time to put me at ease, and giving me lots of encouragement which built my confidence and led to me passing my test first time with only 2 minors. I also very much appreciated his understanding and support during difficult times. He was flexible in arranging lessons in order to fit in with my variable work hours, and took extra time to help me prepare for my theory/hazard perception test. Hugh did not just teach me to pass my test, he also put in extra effort to ensure that I would know how to drive safely and be able to deal with the different situations I might meet as a driver.

I would recommend him without hesitation as an excellent driving instructor.

Hugh Mills was a very thorough instructor that made sure that you knew exactly how to do each and every manouveur to a high standard which insured that every one that i knew that learnt with Hugh passed there test first time and he also offered his students help with their theory test if they needed it.
