Sleekit Productions visit the Byre Theatre with their debut production of A History of Scotland (in 60 minutes or less). Written and devised by the company and featuring songs from the John Kielty, the winner of Cameron McIntosh's "Quest for the Highland Musical", A History of Scotland (in 60 minutes or less) promises audiences a fun, fast-paced hour of story, song and excitement: stories from Scotland, its people, history, and folklore.
Sleekit Productions is composed of graduates from Queen Margaret University, Telford and Fife College Drama Departments, not to mention our company members who are eternal students at the University of Life.
A History of Scotland (in 60 minutes or less) was developed throughout the summer of 2007 at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. The show, designed to appeal to everybody from 5 years and above, shares some of Scottish History's best kept secrets using drama, storytelling, music and song. Received well by audiences and critics alike, the production was nominated for an AMA award for Best Lyrics in a New Musical.
