A Blues Epidemic

I stumbled across Baby Isaac online a while ago and thought their music would appeal to my other half, I was right, he went to one of their gigs at PJ Molloys with a friend and has become Baby Isaac's biggest fan ... well almost, as far as time permits.

On Saturday it was my turn to see what Baby Isaac had to offer.  Our boys were shipped off to my Mum and Dad for an overnight stay.  The thought of a 2am finish was killing me but I was dedicated to the cause and determined to power through!  I need not have worried, Baby Isaac saw to it that this was far from a dull evening.

As always PJ Molloys is a warm, friendly place and we soon made ourselves at home.  Once Baby Isaac took the stage the venue really came alive.  The band play a mixture of their own music and cover verions, their own music sits comfortably beside their interpretation of well known classics such as Hit the Road Jack.

My personal favourite from the night and the album, yes we went home with the full collection of Baby Isaac CDs, is the marriage of blues and possibly even gospel tones in the track Nobody's Fault/Wade in the Water.  I could listen to this all day long.

You can find out more about Baby Isaac here http://www.babyisaacblues.com/ and you can follow them on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/babyisaacblues

If you want to experience Baby Isaac for yourself you will catch them at Sinky's Bar, Dunfermline on Saturday, 8th December or the Barley Sheaf, Dunfermline on Saturday, 22nd December.
