Established in 2001, Furniture Plus Ltd is a registered charity and the largest furniture re-use and recycling organisation in Fife.

Selling low cost furniture, household and electrical items to low income families, Furniture Plus Ltd aims to combat poverty and social exclusion (especially homelessness) through its core business activity of re-using and recycling furniture.

What They Do

Voted Fife Social Enterprise of the Year 2012, Furniture Plus Ltd not only provides low cost goods and furnishings to low income households, but they also aim to provide employment and training opportunities.

Since its formation, the organisation has continued to grow and now boasts a recently expanded 20,000sqft warehouse, showroom, training/employment centre and offices in Dysart, a retail shop in Cowdenbeath (1,200sqft) and a larger retail warehouse in Inverkeithing (25,000sqft).

Employing 36 full/part time staff and 24 volunteers, they also maintain a steady stream of placements from local job centres, social welfare providers and educational establishments.
