"Trick or Treat?"  "Trick or Treat?"    You can be sure that there will be a knock at your door this Halloween. Do you open your door? and give a treat or do you ignore the temptation to shout out go away and run the risk of 'being egged' as sometimes, when older children, rather than younger children dressed up for the part and accompanied by their parents arrive at your door to trick or treat.

Trick-or-treating is a customary celebration for children on Halloween. Children go in costume from house to house, asking for treats such as sweets or sometimes money, with the question, "Trick or treat?" The word "trick" refers to a threat to perform mischief on the homeowners or their property if a treat is not given. If a treat is given by the homeowner, customary the child will perform some sort of show, maybe sing a song or tell a ghost story, in order to earn that treat.
The two main colours associated with Halloween are orange and black.
