I bought a car from Chequers in March 2013 and found the experience very reassuring. My greatest fears buying a second hand car are hidden issues, mirky vehicle history and pushy salesemen! I found none of this at Chequers. Jonathan provided an honest appraisal of the vehicles and I felt he was genuinely interested in my satisfaction and repeat business. The car is fantastic and very the price was very reasonable. I was also impressed with the vehicle preparation, willingness to work with my preferred garage for an initial check-up, and the warranty provided. Jonathan from the very beginning made us feel so comfortable about buying a used car from him. He arranged for us to do a test-drive at our convenience (out of hours). We arranged to collect our car when there was bad snow and Jonathan personally drove the car to us so we didn't have to go out in the snow. The sale went through smoothly. I recently purcahsed a 2007 BMW Z4 Coupe from Jonathan at Chequers, and I have to say he provided absolutely fantastic service throughout. He went to great lengths to ensure that the car was in immaculate condition when I went to collect it, and even welcomed and independant inspection by a mechanic friend of mine (which I requested just to make sure that the car was spot on, which of course it was!) He also ordered a new cupholder for me from BMW after I realised it was broken, and posted it to me in Warwick, all at his own expense! It was a pleasure buying a car from Jonathan, and I'd happily go to him again when I'm looking to buy my next car in a few years time. I recently bought a BMW Z4 from Jonathan at Chequers and I have to say he provided fantastic service. Jonathan made sure that the car was in stunning condition when I came to collect it, and welcomed an independant inspection by a mechanic friend of mine (just to make sure that the car was spot on, which of course it was!) And when I called him to tell him that the cupholder was broken, he sorted out a replacement for me from BMW and then posted it to me in Warwick, all at his own expense! All of Jonathan's cars are prepared to a very high standard, if you want to buy a used car I would strongly recommend going a long to see him, I have now purchased 2 cars from him, a Mercedes & a Mini and in each case the service has been excellent. What is really nice is that this a genuine family run local business that should be supported, you will not be disappointed.

Right from thee very first telephone call to Chequers I felt that Jonathan May was a genuine salesman, never declined to answer my questions or provide proof documents. I recently purchased a Mini Cooper S from Jonathon. After seeing another checkmate Mini I decided to take a trip over to Chequers, as the previous perspective buyer didn't show Jonathon still had the car. The mini inside and out was in excellent condition, much better than the previous one, with quite a few less miles and at an even better price. Jonathon offered me a test drive with absolutely no problem, and gave me a choice of roads to get a true feel of the car, although I opted to be safe and stick to the motorway! After this he took a look at my Astra and agreed on the price I wanted to part exchange it for. After agreeing to buy the Mini he sorted out the tax for me and said I could even take it there and then. Jonathon and his wife offer first class customer service, I felt completely comfortable and under no pressure, which as you may know you do not always get at a car dealership. We were offered tea and coffee on both visits and the whole transaction was extremely pleasant. I would recommend Jonathon and Vicky to anyone and will certainly contact them when I am next looking for a new car.
Chequers were brilliant! I needed a car as I rely on my car. I got a lovely part exchange from Chequers, I thought it was really great service that Chequers ensured the vehice was safe and secure before leaving! They told me everything honestly so you knew what you were getting which was reassuring. Especially when vehicles are used you want to know all of there background as you never know. Having seen a cheaper end car for sale in Auto Trader, I went to view expecting not a great deal, however I was pleasantly surprised, Jonathon was great, showed us round the car in a helpful rather than pushy way, put petrol in the car for us, and allowed us to use a computer for insurance docs etc. while also organising a tax disc. The time Jonathon spent on the sale was the same as I would have expected for the sale of a more expensive vehicle and was much appreciated, the car itself while being a cheap car taken in part ex by the garage is great for what we are looking for, and represented good value for money. Good car, good value good service. Makes a nice change from so many companies I can think of.
I have just bought my Mini Cooper from Chequers and wish to say how we were pleasantly greeted with a handshake and the offer of a coffee from Jonathan. The service I received was second to none. The car was beautifully prepared and a road test was swiftly arranged with his son in the passenger seat. At no time did I feel under any pressure to buy. A better finance deal than the one I had arranged was offered and subsequently provided. On collecting the car I was met at the station, (out of normal hours) completed the finance paperwork and took the car home. I would happily recommend Chequers and its management team.

Just had to let you know how happy I am with Chequers Motor Company of Wrecclesham. I bought my last Mercedes Benz E280 from them and have now sold a Saab 93 convertible through them. Always acted in a quick and professional manner and a pleasure to deal with.
