The Royal Oak Christmas Menu 2010.
Starters
Italian Meats served with ½ a Baguette and side of Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar
Homemade Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Soup served with ½ a warm baguette and butter
Homemade Smoked Salmon Pate served with Toast and Butter
Giant Mushroom stuffed with Cream Cheese, Leeks and Bacon topped with Herby Breadcrumbs
Goats Cheese and Caramelised Onions Crostini on a bed of Salad dressed in Balsamic Vinegar
The Main Course
The Christmas Feast. A meal for all to share. The idea of the feast is a silver platter that will be served to the table and everyone can help themselves to what and as much as they want. Several platters will be shared by a table.
The platter will be made up of slices of the following:
Tender Topside of Beef
Succulent Pork stuffed with Apple and Sage
Traditional Roast Turkey
Accompanied by roast potatoes and roast parsnips, creamed swede, red cabbage, brussels sprouts, broccoli and carrots. Yorkshire pudding and lashings of gravy, sage and onion stuffing and chipolatas wrapped in bacon.
Vegetarian options
Homemade Mushroom, Spinach and Blue Cheese Wellington
Brie and Roasted Vegetable Stack drizzled with Cranberry Sauce.
Both served with Roast Potatoes, Roast Parsnips, creamed swede, red cabbage, brussels sprouts, broccoli and carrots.
Pudding
Homemade Christmas Pudding served with Brandy Butter and Cream
Homemade Chocolate Truffle Torte served with Vanilla Ice Cream
Apple Crush Sorbet
Selection of British Cheeses with Biscuits
Homemade Pavlova topped with Whipped Cream and a Plum and Cinnamon Compote
Coffee and Homemade Mince Pies

There will be a discretionary 10% service charge on all bookings
over 10 people.
We will be taking Christmas bookings from the 1st December to the 24th December for lunch times and evenings. We can cater for large or small groups of people. A £5 deposit per head is required when booking. Please make cheques payable to ‘The Royal Oak’. Let us know if anyone in your group has any special dietary requirements.
The pub will be festively decorated and every place setting will have a Christmas cracker.
