If successful, the funding would enable RHL to continue and significantly develop their Fuel Poverty project, helping local residents reduce their energy consumption and be more energy efficient. In order to have a chance of ‘winning’ the funding they need to show that they have the support of the local community - only those projects with the highest numbers of supporters will be eligible to get through to round 2 of the bidding process!
It just takes a few minutes and won’t cost you anything

RHL educates local residents how to reduce their energy consumption, highlighting the most economical tariffs and making households more energy efficient through access to home improvement grants, energy saving initiatives and advice regarding energy saving measures. They have also helped vulnerable local residents suffering from fuel poverty by providing advice about assistance available and directly negotiating with energy companies in the most vulnerable cases – often on behalf of people who have found themselves in desperate situations, unaware of the help available to them.
