Go 4 it! held at Farnborough Rugby Club in Tile Barn Close, will include Gladiator duels and Sumo wrestling! More traditional activities to have a go at will be football, rugby, tennis, dance and martial arts, plus there will be a bouncy castle, arts and craft, face painting and much more.
Go 4 it! is suitable for all the family but especially aimed at children and young people and will run from 10am to 4pm. It is being organised by the Safer Rushmoor Partnership, which includes Rushmoor Borough Council and the police. More information about the partnership can be found on www.saferrushmoor.com
Councillor Stephen Masterson, Cabinet Member for Safety and Regulations at Rushmoor Borough Council says: “The event is free with lots of clubs and societies offering displays and taster sessions for local people. The event is important, as the day brings all the community together and shows what there is on offer in the local area. Farnborough Rugby Club will be providing a barbecue all day for a small charge and there will be a rugby tournament with schools.”
Parking is limited so organisers suggest that people walk to the event. where possible.
