Rushmoor Borough Council have reported that they have been contacted by a number of residents in the area, who have received a call at home from someone claiming to be from Rushmoor Borough Council.
The person calling explains that as they are a good Council Tax payer, they are entitled to a refund on their Council Tax of up to £7000! However, for this to be processed, they need to make a payment of £95.
Rushmoor Borough Council confirm that even though the callers can seem to be very genuine, this is a bogus call and not one of their representatives.
