We are holding a street collection and awareness day in the High Street and it's also the day of the Exeter City FC Santa Dash. We need lots of lovely volunteers to don one of our lovely green tabards and stand at selected points along the High Street with one of our collection buckets. The collection period will be 9 until 6, split into two hour shifts with slightly shorter shifts at lunch time. Volunteers will be asked to thank members of the public who donate, but not to shout, rattle the bucket or approach anyone, all of which would be outside of the law! Hayley Webb, Community Events Fundraiser, says The ELF Awareness Day is a great chance to support a local charity that's working hard for patients and their families across the South West. Look out for us on the High Street, and give a thoughtful gift this festive season. Alternatively, why not enter the fabulous Santa Dash and raise sponsorship for ELF. The Santa Dash will be setting off from the Guildhall at 1:15 pm and making the one-mile journey to St James Park in time for the Bury game at 3 pm. Entry to the Santa Dash costs just £17 for adults and £5 for children, and the entry price includes both a Santa suit and entry for the Dash, and ticket for the Sky Bet League 2 game against Bury.
