I've been looking for a Dog for about a year and recently the Dogs Trust at Wickhamford near Evesham had a Fun Day with Dog Show. We paid a donation for the kennel tour and visited the Puppy section. In one Kennel were 3 Border collie puppies and in another were 4 Labrador x Lurchers. Well I spent about 30 minutes going between the 2 kennels to decide which one we would like to re home.
The following day I took my 4 year old son up to the Dogs Trust and we chose Bud - Lab x Lurcher. He was the one that came over to both of us. I reserved Buddy and the next step was for the whole family to meet him. I was also invited by The Dogs Trust to have a Puppy Talk/Induction that week with one of the Trainers.
I decided to go shopping for his Food and Toys (Just like when you're having a Baby!!) I was recommended Albion Meat Products of Pershore and purchased a huge bag of James Well Beloved Puppy food cheaper than 2 well known Pet Shops. I was given some useful tips on feeding and other products so well worth the visit.
When we collected Buddy we were surprised how much we got for our purchase - 4 Weeks Free Insurance, a Bag of Dog Food, Collar with Lead, Free Large Shopping Bag, Free Neutering voucher and MicroChip.
Tonight is Puppy Training ie a social evening for owners to chat and dogs to sniff!!!
