There is an eclectic mix of music shows at the Epsom Playhouse in May from tribute bands to nostalgic matinee performances. 

On Friday 8 May the theatre will welcome back the Johnny Cash Roadshow, a production that has been endorsed by the Cash family themselves. Fronted by singer/songwriter Clive John all aspects of Cash’s life are covered from the 1950s right up to 2002. The greatest hits are included such as Ring of Fire, Walk The Line as well at the Johnny and June duets Jackson, Long Legged Guitar Pickin’ Man and many more, accompanied by an amazing film. 

On Saturday 9 May in the Myers Studio lead singer of The Hollies and long time singer and guitarist with Cliff Richard Peter Howarth returns to Epsom Playhouse. This will be an intimate solo unplugged performance and a rare opportunity to experience Peter’s amazing vocal talent and superb acoustic guitar arrangements of The Hollies, Cliff Richard and Roy Orbison hits, Peter was also of star of the London West End Show The Roy Orbison Story.  His special guest,will be the popular local singer/songwriter, Michael Armstrong, who will be performing a selection of his own compositions, plus songs by artists who inspire him. 

On Tuesday 19 May at 2.30pm Neil Sands and his West End cast are back with a brand new show for 2015 that promises to be their biggest and best matinee nostalgia show yet. Come and enjoy a wonderful trip back down memory lane with When You’re Smiling which includes many favourite songs from the 1940s right through to the 1970s plus a celebration of the 70th anniversary of VE Day in a flag waving finale. 

The Pasadena Roof Orchestra coming to Epsom on Wednesday 20 May is a world class, unique formation which was created over 40 years ago. Appearing all over the world the orchestra performs the songbook of the modern classics George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin to Hoagy Carmichael. All time standards portraying the towering achievements of the songwriters art. When it comes to authentic dance and/early swing music the Pasadena Roof Orchestra has no equal. 

Awarded the No.1 UK Michael Jackson Tribute Show at the 2013 UK National Tribute Awards, Forever Jackson coming to the Epsom Playhouse on Friday 22 May is the ultimate tribute to the King of Pop. Robin Parsons pays true homage to the late great Michael Jackson, replicating the distinctive tones and mirroring those infamous dance moves down to meticulous detail. The show features electrifying choreography, stunning special effects and superb musicians. 

Bob Drury Sings the Songs of Neil Diamond on Thursday 28 May at the Epsom Playhouse. Seen as either the glitzy, charismatic stadium artiste or inspired poetic songwriter this show celebrates the genius of the singer/songwriter. In the first half many of his finely crafted songs are presented in stripped-down ‘unplugged’ style revealing the sheer quality of Neil Diamond’s music and lyrics. The second half of the show picks up the pace and promises a barrage of blockbuster hits that span the decades! Fans of Neil Diamond songs you won’t want to miss this show!
